The original side intake duct from Land Rover is a hard plastic on hard plastic connection that is well known for leaking both air and water. If you've installed a snorkel, the original duct is your weak point and will most likely fail. On top of this, owners with earlier Defenders with the duct on the left hand side will find that the duct is now obsolete.
We designed from scratch a hybrid intake duct that will not leak if installed correctly. This duct can be used with a side mounted snorkel or with a stock or aftermarket intake cover.
